DAY 345: Integrated Healing Through Hypnotherapy

hypnotherapy2“Life is a beautiful journey. We learn everyday new experiences from our lives. It teaches us the art of becoming a better human every day.

We have our own set of patterns, which we acquire from our parents, from our environment since we are born. These patterns are also the conditioning we make in our minds about life through the experiences of others in our lives.

As we grow, we start having our own experiences in life and with the awareness of these patterns, the conditioning starts breaking and new, better thoughts start making our new reality. This new reality which we make ourselves to become more aware and conscious about our life purpose and the spiritual being within us gives a new perspective towards others and ourselves.

Hypnosis is a state of altered awareness in which access is available to the sub-conscious mind. The process is initiated by an overload of message units, leading to the breakdown of the inhibitory processes of the critical mind. This in turn triggers the flight-fight mechanism and ultimately results in hyper-suggestible state, providing access to the sub-conscious mind.”

Anjali Chawla wrote Chapter 39 in the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge. She has been connecting intuitively with the Divine Beings (Angels) since childhood. Professionally, she facilitates hypnotherapy workshops and healing sessions. She also does Angel Healing, Reiki and many other alternative healing modalities.

DAY 344: Healing Through Hypnotherapy

hypnotherapy“All of us know that we have a mind but not everyone is aware that we actually have two minds. The Western world and psychologists refer to these as the conscious and subconscious mind, while the Eastern complimentary sciences such as Ayurveda, speak of the inner or deeper consciousness, and the outer or sensory mind.

The conscious, outer mind that most people are familiar with constitutes only the tip of the proverbial mind-sphere iceberg and is responsible for cognition, reasoning, analysis, evaluation, calculation, judgement and decision-making. It feeds off the five senses to perceive its reality and helps you arrive at suitable conclusions. So when your eyes see an overcast sky, your conscious mind concludes that when you step out of y our house that morning, you should carry an umbrella.

The subconscious or inner mind constitutes almost 88% of the whole mind and is the storehouse or repository of all y our long term memories and impressions both from this life as well as past lives. All positive and negative experiences that you have ever had, are stored here and the resulting impressions are embedded as beliefs, attitudes, tendencies and habits which determine the hardwiring of your brain. This is akin to a library where your soul’s personal records are stored and maintained.

Using Hypnosis as the Bridge:

Hypnosis can allow you to bypass the critical factor and focus on selective thinking, allowing effective and speedy access into your subconscious mind. It can bridge your past with your present and unravel memories and experiences that compel you to feel, think and behave in ways that easily override your conscious decisions. It leads you into a trance-like, deeply relaxed alpha state into which the subject is guided by the hypnotist, by getting his attention to slip past the door keeper of the subconscious or the critical mind. In this dreamlike state, the subject can now recall information from other times or states of consciousness. He still has a fuzzy awareness of his present and immediate surroundings which creates a kind of elliptical awareness whereby he can be in both states simultaneously, focused more there and less here and hence, not only recall but also digest information that is retrieved from the past giving rise to insight and integration of the data recovered.”

Suzy Singh is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, wellness mentor, spiritual teacher, channel and author. She has spent 32 years researching and experimenting with consciousness and wrote Chapter 37 in the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge. www.suzyheals.com

DAY 322: Reiki And The Force Called Motivation – Dr. Paula Horan

shutterstock_42892900Have you ever wondered about Reiki?

Chapter 16 in the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge entitled “Reiki And The Force Called Motivation”,  written by Dr. Paula Horan explains the power of Reiki. www.paulahoran.com

“If we are drawn to Reiki or are considering learning and practicing the Usui Method of Natural Healing, by the very power of this wish, we kindle the spark of the supreme motivation in us to heal and be healed. If we act on this intuition, it follows easily that we will then be moved to cultivate the universal human qualities of love, compassion, joy and equanimity. At first, this motivation may seem to last for only a split second, to come and go like a flash of lightning in the darkness. However brief it may appear to be, if we fan this spar k, it will not only plant but also strengthen the seed for a desire to liberate both ourselves and others from physical illness, mental stress and emotional conflict and turmoil.

To heal our families and us is part of Reiki tradition. Mrs. Takata was quite adamant about the correct order of things, when she stated something to the effect: first, heal yourself, then heal your family; only after that go out and do healing sessions outside of your immediate circle of family and friends. Of course, we can follow all three approaches simultaneously. We can practice self-treatment, treat members of our family and share additional treatments with others (if we indeed want to be of consistent help to ourselves and to others). It is important, however to take into account our own resources and not spread ourselves too thin.”

DAY 321: Beliefs, The Whole Brain State And Psychotherapy – Jeffrey L. Fannin. Ph.D. and Robert M. Williams M.A.

shutterstock_35709736Chapter 15 in the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge entitled “Leading-edge Neuroscience Reveals Significant Correlations Between Beliefs, the Whole-Brain State and Psychotherapy” is written by Jeffrey L. Fannin. Ph.D. and Robert M. Williams M.A..

This is such an interesting chapter. It talks about beliefs and the whole-brain state.

Have you heard about the Whole-Brain State?

The authors say:

“A great deal of research has been conducted for decades on what has come to be called ‘brain dominance’ theory (also known as split-brain research). The findings of this research indicate that in general, each hemisphere of the cerebral cortex tends to specialize in, and preside over, different functions, processes different kinds of information and deals with different kinds of problems.

The LEFT hemisphere: uses logic/reason, thinks in words, deals in parts/specifics, analyzes/breaks apart, thinks sequentially, identifies with the individual, is ordered/controlled.

The RIGHT hemisphere: uses emotion/intuition, thinks in pictures, deals in wholes/relationships, synthesizes/ puts together, thinks simultaneously, identifies with the group, is spontaneous/free.”

The Whole-Brain State refers to a balanced identification with both hemispheres of the brain, the authors say.

“In addition to its usefulness as a tool for dealing more effectively with life’s changes, past, present and future, the Whole-Brain State has another major benefit. It can be used as a foundation for quickly and effectively changing self-limiting subconscious beliefs.”

Do you function in the Whole-Brain State or does your brain favors on hemisphere over the other?

Wouldn’t it be really cool to find out?

DAY 320: “PSYCH-K® – The Missing Piece” – Rita Soman

shutterstock_129224693Chapter 14 in the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge entitled “PSYCH-K® – The Missing Piece” is written by Rita Soman and brings PSYCH-K® into our awareness again.

www.ritasoman.com

“The good news is that we can reprogram our subconscious mind with positive beliefs. Using PSYCH-K® process that was established in 1988 by Robert Williams you can easily re-write beliefs that have been affecting you your whole life, in a matter of just minutes. Psychoanalysis and psychotherapy may have brought a better understanding to why we behave as we do, but rarely succeed in fundamentally changing our lives. […]

Research has shown that the subconscious directs the body’s motor functions and controls muscle movements, so PSYCH-K® uses the musculature (kinesiology) to communicate with the subconscious.”

Aren’t you intrigued?

I know I am.

If there is something that can cut through the limiting beliefs that are, well, limiting my life, then I want to know about it!

DAY 319: Journey Of Psych-K® – Jurrian Kamp

shutterstock_6998299Chapter 13 in the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge entitled “Journey Of Psych-K® ” is written by Jurrian Kamp. www.psych-k.com

“Psych-K® does not heal anything. It is the catalyst for the body to heal itself. The mind is the doctor. The pharmacy is in your head. With the right instruction by the mind, our bodies produce all kinds of things that are similar to the drugs that are made by the pharmaceutical industry.

It is very simple: if you have a disease and all of a sudden you have an altered subconscious belief that your body is in perfect health, a dynamic tension arises. That tension has to be resolved in favor of the consciousness because that comes from a higher energy dimension. And consciousness will use all the magnificent  resources of the mind-body system to make the new reality come true.”

Read this chapter. It will bring awareness of consciousness, health and an empowered way of life.

DAY 318: Origin, History And Introduction Of Belief – Naveen Varshneya

Chapshutterstock_67116820ter 12 in the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge entitled “Origin, History And Introduction Of Belief ” is written by Naveen Varshneya.

Naveen Varshneya is a healer and life coach and the founder of the “NV Life Treatment Centre” in Bangalore, India.

“Belief is for human life what the operating system is for computers and cell phones. It is an environment which supports certain types of human experiences and thus creates the domain within which the journey of human life operates. So, how can an application meant for Windows work on other OS? if your operating system says all men are stronger than us and that life is a compromise, how could you experience anything other than this belief, which is your own personal truth, either acquired or developed?

So, if you went through abuse in the hand f men in your childhood and formed a belief that men abuse, you will either always work toward protecting yourself, thus turning aloof in your growing years or always find a situation which witnesses that belief as often as you seek validation of your truth.”

Intriguing, isn’t it?

Doesn’t it make you want to read the whole chapter?
