365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 242: First ELDOA lecture under my belt

Pic before lecture

I took this pick just before the lecture. It was a great night at the Vancouver Pilates Centre: 35 people attended my presentation and some stayed for the demo ELDOA class.

One person came to thank me at the end, saying that finally she understood what fascia is. Another person wanted to tell me that now she knows that she can heal and does not feel desperate for a solution anymore.

Quite a few of the attendees are considering signing up for the ELDOA 1 course in July.

My first official ELDOA lecture was a great success!

I am grateful.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 240: Taking ELDOA to Vancouver

ELDOA in Vancouver

Look what greeted me yesterday on a large blackboard at Vancouver Pilates Center. This is where I came 18 years ago to learn about Classical Pilates and healing the body through movement.

It is such an honor to spend two days here doing a lecture on ELDOA, teaching ELDOA classes and working with clients one on one.

My lecture tonight is entitled “THE SOLUTION FOR THE BACK PAIN  EPIDEMIC” and precedes the ELDOA 1 Course that I will be teaching here in July.

I am excited!

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 239: ELDOA

possible

Given the current “chronic” back pain epidemic, what is the REAL power of ELDOA?

ELDOA helps the body reinvent itself healthier and healthier every year.

ELDOA creates space in the joints of the body. It fights gravity.

Are you doing ELDOA yet?

Rucsandra

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 238: Tired Of Neck Pain?

neck pain

Are you suffering from constant neck pain? I am talking about pain that turned chronic.

This is the ugly truth of why you are still suffering: there is a vicious cycle that creates pain in your body. You CAN heal, but with so much conflicting advice about what it takes to become pain free, it’s hard to know where to start and sometimes you end up doing things that will hinder your healing process.

Many people get overwhelmed and eventually give up. They give up believing that they can heal. It doesn’t have to be that way! I want to show what you can do in order to start healing. My clients are consistently amazed at how I find the right solutions for them and help them heal.

If you suffer from chronic pain and you’re ready to heal once and for all, click here: http://bit.ly/bodystrategy.

Here’s the deal: when it comes to healing your body one size DOES NOT fit all. This is why I want to talk with you directly and show you what the best steps are FOR YOU.

My proven method for healing chronic pain is simple, efficient and easy to follow. But it does not work for everyone, because not everyone has what it takes to follow through.

Your healing is YOUR responsibility.

It takes a special person with a “do whatever it takes” attitude to really get results. Let’s face it, realigning and healing your body will take SOME effort on your part. That requires commitment and if you’re committed I’d love to help you!

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 237: Hip Replacements Can Be Prevented!

hip replacement

Here’s the thing: when someone is told that they have to have  a hip replacement, it is not always the case.

I have met people who refused to take that route and started instead a healing process that included ELDOA, myofascial stretching, precise segmental strengthening, osteopathic treatment, specific change in diet and proper hydration.

It did take time and some effort, but they completely avoided the dangers of an invasive surgical procedure.

Now, there are times when the hip replacement might be unavoidable, for example in case of severe fractures or when the damage to the joint surfaces is really extensive.

What I am saying is that most hip replacements CAN be avoided.

I know that in my bones, so to speak, because I have one hip that would have been headed down the path of surgery had I not discovered ELDOA sixteen years ago.

So, my invitation to anyone is this: before you believe that you absolutely must have a hip replacement surgery, give yourself the gift of investigating other possibilities.

Our bodies have tremendous innate healing capacity. Would it not make sense to use it?

“People can get better. More than that, they can get better from all sorts of conditions of disease, even very severe ones of long duration.” – Dr.  Andrew Weil, author of  ’’SPONTANEOUS HEALING: How To Discover And Enhance Your Body’s Natural Ability To Maintain And Heal Itself.’’

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 217: Mens Sana In Corpore Sano

body and mind

The cells in your body react to everything your mind says. Negative thinking and attitudes create chronic stress that upsets the body’s hormonal balance. Negativity is known to bring down the immune system.

Negative thinking is more destructive than you think. It can ruin your brain, body and overall health on the long term.

Traditional Chinese Medicine associates emotional conflicts/negativity to specific organ functions:

  • The heart can be affected by excess excitement
  • The kidneys can be affected by fear or shock
  • The lungs can be affected by sadness or suppressed grief
  • The spleen and pancreas can be affected by worry or pensiveness
  • The liver can be affected by anger or frustration

Ancient Greek Medicine considered the mind and the body as being strongly interconnected.  The ancient Greeks ideal of health was holistic and is expressed in the maxim, “Mens sana in corpore sano”, which means “A sound mind in a healthy body”.

Native American Medicine promotes mental, physical and spiritual well-being. Traditional healing includes a wide range of activities to improve well-being and restore the balance of a person’s mind, body and spirit, which is necessary for healing. They also say that diseases are more likely to invade the body of a person who is imbalanced, has negative thinking, or lives an unhealthy lifestyle.

Change your mind. Change your body.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 216: Creating Your Body

cells

The body you have right now is not the body you had one year ago.

You reinvent your body every year:

  • New stomach liming cells every 5 days
  • All new red blood cells every 4 months
  • A completely new skeleton every 10 years
  • New lungs in a year

So why is it that if you suffer, let’s say, from chronic pain, you do not get to feel better month after month after month, as your body keeps replacing old cells with new ones.

The problem is that even though your physical body has an extraordinary capacity for renewal, you reinvent it the same way over and over again, through your thinking, emotional health and beliefs.

Your body retains the same patterns; it has the same illnesses; it has the same problems.

The condition that is creating discomfort or pain:

  • Is recreated over and over again
  • Remains the same month after month, year after year
  • Is now a powerful belief
  • Controls you

Dr.  Andrew Weil, author of  ’’SPONTANEOUS HEALING: How To Discover And Enhance Your Body’s Natural Ability To Maintain And Heal Itself.’’

“People can get better. More than that, they can get better from all sorts of conditions of disease, even very severe ones of long duration.”

What is required in order to heal?

What do the people who get better tap into in order to change their condition?

More on this tomorrow.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 179: Reinventing Your Body

RUCSANDRA's PICTURE

We have a completely new body every two years!

The physical body has an extraordinary capacity for healing and constant renewal, so why are some people in continuous pain?

Dr.  Andrew Weil, author of  SPONTANEOUS HEALING: How To Discover And Enhance Your Body’s Natural Ability To Maintain And Heal Itself says: ‘’People can get better. More than that, they can get better from all sorts of conditions of disease, even very severe ones of long duration.”

So why is it that some people do not heal, even though their bodies have the capacity for complete renewal?

The answer might surprise you. They reinvent their body the same way over and over again, so that:

  • It retains the same patterns
  • It has the same illnesses
  • It has the same problems

The same pain:

  • Is recreated over and over again
  • Remains the same month after month, year after year
  • Is now a powerful belief
  • Controls them

Do you see how this works?

The body CAN heal, but the thoughts, feelings and beliefs must work in the same direction with the healing process, not against it!

Rucsandra
