DAY 330: Allowing The Magic To Unfold – Access Consciousness

shutterstock_102185230“Do you remember the exuberance you had as a child, when no pain or suffering lasted for more than 10 seconds and you were happily skipping about seeing rainbows and joy oozed out of your being? Remember that questioning spirit you had? And no question was too silly, you could ask ten question in a row of how, when, why, what about everything you came across? […]

Access Bars is a therapy that makes ‘receiving’ from the Universe easier, each Bars session helps to release limiting beliefs that do not allow us to receive freely. The Bars is a hands-on process that requires gentle touching of 32 points on the head. The worst that can happen after a Bars session is that you feel as if you had a good head massage; and the best, your whole life could change.

Have you ever noticed how we are conditioned to look at and prepare for everything that can go wrong? Do we ever spend time looking at what could go right? Or if we share our plans with others they tell us to stop day dreaming and come back to the reality of how things are supposed to be difficult by default.

How often do we come to conclusions about things we can’t change and give up on things we would like to be or have?

What if instead of giving up we could just ask this one question (even if we don’t have the answers right away): ‘What else is possible that I haven’t even considered?’

This opens up possibilities that we haven’t even conceived of! It’s like opening doors, windows and balconies in a corridor that earlier had solid walls with just one door at either end, so now we can see and explore options from a fresh perspective rather than looking at things the way everyone else does, from the limited perspective.”

Chapter 25 in  the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge is written by Seema Sharma, a certified Access Consciousness Bars Facilitator and a marketing and corporate communications professional. She practices healing modalities including Reiki, Quantum Touch, Pranic Healing, Theta Healing, Aura Reading, Past Life Regression, EFT and Ho’oponopono.

DAY 329: The Four Pillars of Health

shutterstock_33577360“First Pillar

The first and foremost pillar is food. […] I experienced a connection and oneness with my body with this single most important change in a way that shifted and evolved my life in many positive ways. I understood the meaning of the Hindi saying from our shastras –“Like food, like mind” or the more famous English phrase, “You are what you eat.”

Second Pillar

As you would easily guess, the second pillar of health is about activity and movement, also called exercise. I prefer to use the first two words as “exercise ” often has negative and effortful connotations for man y. Before I began my own journey of self-healing, I was extremely sedentary and the excruciating pain of rheumatoid arthritis made me even more lethargic.

Third Pillar

Positive, wholesome thoughts are the third pillar. Ultimately, the control center to change our life style is in the head. Unless we change our thinking, we can’t really hope to change much in our lives.

Fourth Pillar

The final pillar is one of habits: childhood, family and social conditioning that we get set into without questioning. These habits stem from the beliefs we carry around all our lives. We may have inherited these from our family and friends or picked them from our doctor or read them in books and papers or simply followed the societal norms. Sometimes, we just call it our personality and refuse to budge or change anything saying, “I am like this only.” This is all inner resistance to change, our invisible dragons that we are meant to slay in our journey to evolution and self-awareness.”

Chapter 23 in  the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge is written by Nandini Gulati who is a Holistic Health Coach. She offers many programs to help people lead healthier and integrated lifestyles. The programs range from one time consulting, healthy cooking classes to a 12-week customized health-coaching program.

How are your four pillars of health doing?

DAY 328: Fitness – The Challenge Within

shutterstock_155628083“To exercise, to eat right. What is the Big Challenge?

Why do we gain weight? Why do we fall sick? […]

If one could control one’s craving towards chocolate cake (or any other craving for that matter)…

If one could remain enthusiastic towards exercise on a daily basis…

If one could follow a healthy diet without any cheating…

Would one need to shop around for finding an external agency to help us win the battle of weight loss?

It is here that the role of NLP comes in.

What is NLP?

NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming. ‘Neuro’ refers to the way we experience the world through our senses; ‘linguistic’ refers to the way we use language to make sense of the world, capture and conceptualize our experience and then communicate that experience to others; and ‘programming’ addresses the way we code (mentally represent) our experience and adopt various behavioral patterns of response. In short, NLP is a powerful mechanism involving the programming of our mind. It can impact you both professionally and personally.

It is applicable to all the areas of one’s life – be it weight loss, overall health, business management, psychology and all forms of personal development.

NLP can help you:

  • Remove the mental barriers blocking you from reaching your goals and set new higher expectations from yourself
  • Replace negative behaviors and habits with positive ones
  • Transform the way you go about your everyday tasks
  • Better understand your own motivations, needs and behaviors to have the greatest impact in your life

NLP helps you understand your current mind as each person has their own unique map of the world. It helps you unlock the subconscious beliefs, limitations and filters that you have created and stored in your mind.”

Chapter 22 in  the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge is written by Tarini Khetarpal who is a Certified NLP Master Practitioner. She has learnt from the pioneer of NLP himself, Mr . John Grinder in London. She is also a Hay House certified and licensed ‘Heal Your Life’ Workshop leader who conducts programs based on Louise Hay’s philosophy.

DAY 327: Beyond Self-Sabotage

shutterstock_243915115“Most people can bring drastic changes in their quality of life by identifying the top five or ten of their limiting beliefs and changing them. Each belief has the power to create unhappiness or joy in your life.

And as every belief has sub-beliefs within it, if you have the belief that you are not worthy this will create more sub-beliefs on various aspects of self-loath.

On the contrary, a good, positive belief spawns many sub-beliefs to support the positive belief.

On a subconscious level, every belief has a secondary benefit. A secondary benefit means that while something causes pain or discomfort on one level, it may provide pleasure on another level. This is the reason why we protect our beliefs, even after becoming aware that they are not helping us. We create justifications for our beliefs.

For example, a client was unhappy with her job and yet she was fearful of changing her job. Her secondary belief was that even if she changed her job, the new job would be like the current one. This secondary belief provided her the ‘comfort’ to stay in her current job.

When patterns are broken, a new world emerges.”

Chapter 21 in  the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge is written by Archna Mohan, who is a holistic life style coach. She helps women around the world to find the time and motivation to exercise, to end the vicious cycle of dieting, improve their health and energy. She understands the issues of women over 40 because she is one of them.

DAY 326: Serenity Surrender

shutterstock_108848738“Serenity Surrender is a channel by which it becomes possible for each person to see their life, situations, relationships and concerns from a higher perspective. When we look at our lives from the limited understanding of our physical reality, we tend to blame, get angry or feel victimized. This is because in that moment, what we can see, hear and feel from the physical life situation and people, takes prominence.

We fail to see how we have attracted the respective relationship or situation. Over our journey right from the creation of the soul, we have judged ourselves, punished ourselves and believed in experiencing evolution through struggle and misery.

All of this happened because from the moment of our creation as souls, we have perceived ourselves as other than the creator. We developed an identity other than what we implicitly were.

This need for identity gave us the need to attract various experiences, by the way of which we sought who we are. Having chased who we are, many times we identified ourselves as different people in different roles and each role we played at each stage only brought us closer to believing that we are bigger than that role.

Whenever we got stuck in the role rather than looking at ourselves as the one who’s playing it, we got trapped in it until we realized our power over that role, the power of having chosen it.”

Chapter 20 in  the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge is written by Minal Arora who is an IT geek transformed into a spiritual healer and mentor. She saw an opportunity for inner growth. Starting her spiritual journey by becoming a past life regression therapist, she soon discovered that growing within self is the only way to help others too.

DAY 324: “Aura Healing – The Basis For All Energy Healing” – Nishant

shutterstock_29948326Do you know that you too, have an aura?

“As per the theory of quantum physics, the whole universe (visible & invisible), is made up of virtually the same particles of energy. All energy vibrates; some at a faster rate while some at a slower rate; this rate is called  frequency. Now scientifically, frequency is the number of vibrations of a particle per second. The unit of measurement for frequency is Hz (Hertz).

Our body is made up of atoms and molecules. In each atom we have charged particles called electrons, protons and neutrons which when further expanded, are made up of quarks (particles of light) which again on further expansion, are made up of strings and super strings, and on further expansion it’s empty space. Yes, nothing else but empty space, so in a way all the matter is originating from this empty space of energy, this is called the nothingness or the zero point energy. Now this theory coincides with the spiritual theory that ‘The universe came from nothing and will go back into nothing’. Coincidence I bet not, as it is the real science.

The Aura is actually the result of the electrical impulses generated by the movement of electrons and protons around the nucleus in our cells. According to the famous law of electromagnetic induction wherever there is an electric field, an equivalent magnetic field would be induced around that electrical field. For example: you use a particular screwdriver to open and close electrical circuits, over a period of time it gets magnetized and now has the ability to attract small iron fillings. So no wonder, Aura is literally the electromagnetic field.”

Chapter 18 in the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge entitled “Aura Healing – The Basis For All Energy Healing”  is written by Nishant.

Nishant is an IT Engineer by qualification but an Energy Medicine enthusiast by choice. He is passionate about integrating science and spirituality, and has the ability to connect with beings in the higher dimensions and the spirit world for guidance & healing.

DAY 323: Theta Healing® – Shalin Khurana

“When we receive a Theta Healing ® , we are also helping those around us and the universe, since we are all interconnected at some level. When we heal at a genetic level, we are also healing our ancestors, our relatives and future generations of our family. Remember, scientists have learned that in quantum physics, the distinction between the past, present and future does not exist as we perceive it.

Theta Healing® is:

  • A way to change beliefs that impact the reality we experience.
  • A way to heal the energy rifts and blockages that occur due to our thoughts and beliefs.
  • A transformation that creates physical, psychological/emotional and spiritual healing.
  • Aligned with the current understanding of quantum physics and quantum mechanics relating to how and why thought influences matter.

Theta Healing® facilitates balance and harmony between the conscious and subconscious minds, while infusing a sense of security and well-being. Through the processes of feeling and belief work our reality can change and healing can occur in an instant. It can be permanent and lasting. […]

Theta Healing® effectively removes, resolves and clears emotional and physical issues that hold us back in the journey of life. The subconscious holds secrets, past issues, memories that may be invisible to the conscious mind. One can, with fabulous results, cancel, replace or resolve past or current issues and memories and initiate the healing process with Theta Healing®.

Chapter 17 in the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge written by Shalin Khurana explains Theta Healing®. Shalin Khurana is a spiritual guide, clairvoyant, psychic and an intuitive healing practitioner with an extensive experience in a wide range of healing modalities.

Isn’t it wonderful that all these modalities are now gathered together in this book’s great compilation?

DAY 322: Reiki And The Force Called Motivation – Dr. Paula Horan

shutterstock_42892900Have you ever wondered about Reiki?

Chapter 16 in the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge entitled “Reiki And The Force Called Motivation”,  written by Dr. Paula Horan explains the power of Reiki.

“If we are drawn to Reiki or are considering learning and practicing the Usui Method of Natural Healing, by the very power of this wish, we kindle the spark of the supreme motivation in us to heal and be healed. If we act on this intuition, it follows easily that we will then be moved to cultivate the universal human qualities of love, compassion, joy and equanimity. At first, this motivation may seem to last for only a split second, to come and go like a flash of lightning in the darkness. However brief it may appear to be, if we fan this spar k, it will not only plant but also strengthen the seed for a desire to liberate both ourselves and others from physical illness, mental stress and emotional conflict and turmoil.

To heal our families and us is part of Reiki tradition. Mrs. Takata was quite adamant about the correct order of things, when she stated something to the effect: first, heal yourself, then heal your family; only after that go out and do healing sessions outside of your immediate circle of family and friends. Of course, we can follow all three approaches simultaneously. We can practice self-treatment, treat members of our family and share additional treatments with others (if we indeed want to be of consistent help to ourselves and to others). It is important, however to take into account our own resources and not spread ourselves too thin.”

DAY 321: Beliefs, The Whole Brain State And Psychotherapy – Jeffrey L. Fannin. Ph.D. and Robert M. Williams M.A.

shutterstock_35709736Chapter 15 in the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge entitled “Leading-edge Neuroscience Reveals Significant Correlations Between Beliefs, the Whole-Brain State and Psychotherapy” is written by Jeffrey L. Fannin. Ph.D. and Robert M. Williams M.A..

This is such an interesting chapter. It talks about beliefs and the whole-brain state.

Have you heard about the Whole-Brain State?

The authors say:

“A great deal of research has been conducted for decades on what has come to be called ‘brain dominance’ theory (also known as split-brain research). The findings of this research indicate that in general, each hemisphere of the cerebral cortex tends to specialize in, and preside over, different functions, processes different kinds of information and deals with different kinds of problems.

The LEFT hemisphere: uses logic/reason, thinks in words, deals in parts/specifics, analyzes/breaks apart, thinks sequentially, identifies with the individual, is ordered/controlled.

The RIGHT hemisphere: uses emotion/intuition, thinks in pictures, deals in wholes/relationships, synthesizes/ puts together, thinks simultaneously, identifies with the group, is spontaneous/free.”

The Whole-Brain State refers to a balanced identification with both hemispheres of the brain, the authors say.

“In addition to its usefulness as a tool for dealing more effectively with life’s changes, past, present and future, the Whole-Brain State has another major benefit. It can be used as a foundation for quickly and effectively changing self-limiting subconscious beliefs.”

Do you function in the Whole-Brain State or does your brain favors on hemisphere over the other?

Wouldn’t it be really cool to find out?
