DAY 291: Living From Your SOUL

Are you living your life or are you allowing yourself to be lived by life?

You see, if you believe that you are at the mercy of your surroundings, then you are “being lived” by them.

Your surroundings have only the power that you are giving them.

In every situation, regardless how challenging, trying or traumatic it might be, you have the power to choose your actions.

Living from your soul means that you show up every day with honesty, integrity, authenticity, compassion and love; without fear, without feeling like a victim, without blame or shame or guilt.

Every single moment of your life is an invitation to raise above the old, the small, and the fearful parts of you.

There is nothing that you cannot do when you live from your soul.

There is nothing to fear when you live from your soul.

There is nothing more that your SOUL desires than for you to live fully, vibrantly, as YOURSELF!

DAY 287: Be Kind To Yourself

love yourself

How are you treating yourself?

Are you understanding, compassionate, loving and nurturing with yourself?

If you are like most people, compassion and understanding are probably not part of how you are dealing with yourself in your mind and in your heart.

But I want to invite you to change the way you talk to yourself, think of yourself, look at yourself and understand yourself.

Louise Hay teaches people mirror work as a powerful paradigm shifting tool. She teaches people to look at themselves in the mirror every day, look deeply into their own eyes and tell themselves “I love you. I really, really love you.”

I asked some of my clients to do this exercise and they reported back, saying that it was truly hard and some couldn’t even do it.

Can you?

Can you take a deep look into your own eyes every day and say “I love you. I really, really love you.”?

Try it. See what you discover about yourself.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 160: How do I feel about Valentine’s Day?

Roses. A beautiful dinner at home. Candle light. A bottle of good wine. A delicious dessert.  A few wonderful hours talking and connecting with my man.

I love it.

But here’s WHY I love it: because this doesn’t happen just on Valentine’s day. If it did, it would make me truly sad and I would be prompted to re-examine my life and my relationship.

I am fully celebrating this day because I have many days like this in my life. My man and I share many wonderful hours talking over beautiful meals that we love to prepare for each other. Yes, with candles and wine even on a week day, because we celebrate our time together.

When I was single, I celebrated it too: as a day to connect with myself at a deeper and truer level, with a beautiful meal, roses, a glass of wine and dessert.

A day like this is not only for couples.

Valentine’s Day starts inside each one of us, with the understanding, compassion and love we have for ourselves.

May your Valentine’s Day be a beautiful celebration of who you are and of the deep love you have for yourself!

And if this year it is not quite what you want, honor it just as it is and be present with it.

And then take the steps to create a life in which Valentine’s Day happens a couple of times every week.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 128: And Because We Are All Connected…

… the ONLY way to change what we see happening today in our world is to do our own inner work. Each and every one of us. The transformation starts inside, with how we feel and what we think.

Every action we take is driven by our inside world, even when the actions are charitable, well-intentioned and helpful to others.

We are powering our immediate life and our immediate world with our feelings and with our thoughts.

Are you judging yourself? Are you judging others? That judgment propagates outside of yourself and instills judgment in others. Change it inside yourself first, release all judgment. Your transformation will inspire your family, your friends, your co-workers, your neighbors.

I am inviting you right now to stop for a moment and look deep inside yourself, with complete honesty and see who, what and how you are judging yourself and others. Be honest. Just look. Make a commitment to yourself to see it all. You can only change something that you are aware of. So become aware first.

I don’t know what changing the world means: it is too vast; and where do we start; who is going to start; what do we need in order to do that?

But what I know, beyond the shadow of a doubt, is that I can change my inner world, so that there is no judgment.

And you can change your inner world, so that all judgment stops inside you.

And then… you and I together will teach others to release judgment.

Do you see it now?

It starts inside each one of us.

Feels like a lot?

It is not.

It works.

Let’s do it.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 127: Why I Am Writing These Posts

I started this 365 Days of Gratitude blog because I believe that we are all connected in ways we cannot yet comprehend. I believe that as each one of us is shifting the inner perception from the lower vibration feelings (anger, fear, shame, hatred) to the higher vibration feelings (acceptance, love, compassion, forgiveness) we become more aware and we help raise the awareness level for everyone around us.

As I am writing my posts everyday I feel connected with you; because of this connection I write with ease.  My words might inspire you to be more, do more, create more; or my words might challenge your belief systems and offer you a different point of view.

Regardless of the fact that you agree with what I am saying or not, as I am writing, I am becoming more authentic and my inner essence becomes more visible to you; as you are opening yourself up to reading something new, as you are willing to contemplate the possibility of a different way of being you allow more of who you truly are to come to the surface.

Our connection allows us both to become less afraid of showing the world who we are and what we can do. Because we are connected, the subtle energy field between us becomes less opaque; it becomes stronger, clearer and more vibrant. And in turn, it starts to affect the people around me and the people around you.

These wonderful ripples of awareness and connection intensify the desire to transcend what we think are our limitations. We raise each other up.

So you see, I write my daily posts because I AM CONNECTED WITH YOU.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 23: Hearts Broken Open

Today’s post is about love, more specifically about the ever-expanding capacity we have for love.

All of us have had the experience of what we like to call a “broken heart”. The truth is that nothing gets broken; we feel pain and grief and sorrow, but what we actually experience is the dismantling of a shell that cannot contain our increasing capacity for love. I believe that every time our hearts “get broken” we have the extraordinary opportunity to expand, to grow, to become softer, more understanding, more compassionate, more open. This is the extraordinary gift that lies in a broken heart, but it is entirely up to us grab it and choose to expand rather than contract, close up and refuse to love again.

Love is not conditional, it is not small, it does not need to be managed. When we allow ourselves to love freely and fully, we vibrate a high, pure healing energy that enlightens and heals us and everyone around us.

Now you may ask: but how about romantic love when we love someone but we are not loved back? This does happen sometimes, as we know, but I want to tell you that your love is YOURS and it expands YOU!

Our true nature is to be open-hearted, but through the process of being born and living in our society we learned to be closed up and share our love in small, controlled, conditional portions. We have the capacity to love everyone around us, fully and unconditionally, including the people who might not love us back. So let’s go ahead and love anyway, because the more we do, the more we heal and the more authentic be become.
