DAY 291: Living From Your SOUL

Are you living your life or are you allowing yourself to be lived by life?

You see, if you believe that you are at the mercy of your surroundings, then you are “being lived” by them.

Your surroundings have only the power that you are giving them.

In every situation, regardless how challenging, trying or traumatic it might be, you have the power to choose your actions.

Living from your soul means that you show up every day with honesty, integrity, authenticity, compassion and love; without fear, without feeling like a victim, without blame or shame or guilt.

Every single moment of your life is an invitation to raise above the old, the small, and the fearful parts of you.

There is nothing that you cannot do when you live from your soul.

There is nothing to fear when you live from your soul.

There is nothing more that your SOUL desires than for you to live fully, vibrantly, as YOURSELF!

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 122: Your Spiritual Body

Spirituality… Religion… Atheism… Or anything else that is in between… No one way is the right way, the only way. I have met atheists who are kind, centered, believe in the spirit of the humankind and conduct themselves in a truly authentic manner. I am sure you met them too. On the other hand, I have met people who are religious or spiritual and like to gossip, to get ahead of their fellow humans by all means necessary, who lie if it serves their purposes.

So I say that it does not matter what category we choose to adhere to, as long as we are authentic, we live our lives with integrity inside and out and we respect ourselves, all people and all living things. We might decide to go to church, or to chant mantras every Sunday and yet, disrespect ourselves and others. Or we might proclaim ourselves atheists and live lives of meaning and purpose, serving other people and leaving a powerful legacy as we pass on.

What I call the Spiritual Body is that part of you that has the choice. Will you choose to tell the truth or lie? Will you choose to be kind and compassionate or judgmental? Will you choose to treat yourself with respect or will you continue to use diminishing words towards yourself and others?

You can always raise above the current situation and think, act and behave with authenticity and integrity. You can always choose kinder words, softer actions, even when you feel hurt. YOU can always choose.

Your Spiritual Body is the part of you that knows the way.

Listen to it.

Pay attention.

Follow it.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 90: What Happens When You Raise The Bar For Yourself?

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. You have been part of my gratitude journey for three months! Today is day 90 and I am very grateful for your comments and questions and for sharing my blog with your friends and family.

So what happens when you decide to raise the bar for yourself? What I mean by raising the bar is not necessarily that you decide to set a new high goal for yourself, although I am not excluding this scenario. What I mean is deciding in this very moment to not be less than you are right now: to not allow other people to be disrespectful towards you and to not disrespect others with your words or actions, or even in your mind; to not allow yourself to be judgemental towards yourself and others; to not lie to yourself and to others anymore; in other words, to be authentic, honest and live this very moment with integrity.

When you raise the bar, effortlessly and gracefully your life starts to change. The extraordinary happens. You feel more ease, more lightness, more peace. You feel immediately stronger and even the strength of your physical body increases.

I raised the bar today. Will you join me?

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 87: Clearing Broken Promises

There is an extraordinary gift of lightness and clarity that comes from clearing the energy of broken promises. I want you to have this powerful experience and witness the emotional strength and peace that come with it.

Are there any promises that you have made to others or to yourself that you have not kept?

Have you made your list? Good! Wonderful!

This list is not for you to start thinking about how many promises you have not kept and start judging yourself. The purpose of this list is to create the opportunity to go and clear your broken promises, one at a time.

Mark Twain said it so well in “What Is Man?”:

“A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval.”

Going through your list and assessing, completing and finding ways to keep your promises to yourself and others will create a magnificent sense of inner well being.

You will feel instantly clearer with every promise you honor, because you will have YOUR OWN APPROVAL!

So go through your list and do what you need to do. If there are promises you made that you know you cannot keep, go and talk to the persons you made the promises to, including yourself and explain why you cannot keep your promise.

Find a way to clear the waters of your own conscience and do not let yourself and others wait in vain.

Go and say “I am sorry I promised such a thing to you when I knew I could not keep my promise.” or “I thought I could do it, but the truth is…. Please forgive me. Maybe I could do this for you instead?”

If there are things that you can do to honor some promises, but just did not get around to it, then make it a priority to do them one by one.

Emotional clutter stems partially from the energy of your broken promises. Go and restore the INTEGRITY of each and every one of your promises, one by one, until all your list is clear.

You will be surprised by the sheer power of honoring your word.

I will leave you today with a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson:

“It is easy to live for others, everybody does. I call on you to live for yourself.”

Live for yourself, with integrity, clarity and joy. I want you to have your own approval. This is my wish for you.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 86: Promises You Did Not Keep

There is a great tool that I have used to help me clear emotional clutter, doubts and fears. What I am sharing with you today is powerful and quite easy to do; all it requires is your desire to examine your life with no judgment, understanding and compassion.

I want to go back to the concept of authenticity I wrote about yesterday. Authenticity implies integrity. In order to honor yourself and be authentic you must learn to keep your promises to yourself and others.

You must be able to trust yourself.

Are there still areas of your life where you are not yet authentic? Make a list so that in the upcoming weeks and months you can do what you need to do in order to create full authenticity in your life. Take it one step at a time and clear everything that keeps you apart from your authentic self.

Are there any promises that you have made to others or to yourself that you have not kept? Make a list of all these things. Do not judge yourself for what you find. Make your list and set it aside. Being aware of your patterns and getting out of the habit of ignoring things that nudge at you will strengthen you emotionally and will clear away layers and layers of emotional clutter.

I will talk more about integrity and its sheer POWER in tomorrow’s post.
