365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 174: Listen To Yourself!

You’ve been taught to listen to everybody else but yourself.

You disagree?

Let me say it this way: how many times have you been told to follow your heart, your intuition, your desires and your inner truth? If you are like most people, pretty much never!

Were you encouraged to honor who you are?

Were you taught emotional intelligence, healthy boundaries, communication skills or self awareness?

I know I wasn’t.

But one day I decided to break free and find my own answers and my own path. I made a pact with myself to pay attention to how I felt and what I thought and to follow my inner guidance. And that was the best decision I have ever made.

It does not matter what we were taught!

What matters is that we have the power to choose to honor and follow our inner guidance system.

Pay attention.

You will discover that you are always guided by a power greater than all the advice your were even given.

No school and no teacher, no degree and no mentor will ever know more than your soul.

Listen to yourself.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 34: Beyond Fear Part 2 – Litany Against Fear

In the first gratitude post entitled Gaia I shared with you that I used to love science-fiction; I still do. About 20 years ago I came across the “Litany against Fear” in the novel Dune by Frank Herbert. I used it many times, found it powerful and felt its clearing and healing effects. Here it is:

“I must not fear.

Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.

I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.

And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.

Only I will remain.”

This quote means a lot to me and I am very grateful for having found it; it helped me release the fear of fear itself. Whenever I got ready to face one of my fears, I repeated these words to myself until I felt a great calm energy surrounding me. From this protected space, I turned around and faced my fears, one by one. In the greater awareness of this powerful and calm energy, I was able to see my fears for what they were: inflated balloons, created by society, family or myself.

I realized that I was one with LIFE and I started to TRUST myself and the process of LIFE. By facing and letting go of one fear at a time, I started to feel a lot stronger. I felt protected and supported by myself and by the Universe.

There is so much I want to share with you and will keep writing for many days about fear and how I started to live fearlessly. I am just getting started on the fear issue and I want you to know that what I will share with you will change your life. I want you to completely release all your fears. Follow me.

So until tomorrow, here is my invitation to you: sit quietly and breathe for a few minutes. Read the Litany Against Fear as many times as you need until you start to grasp its depth and its calming, soothing power.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 33: Beyond Fear Part 1- Dismantling Fear

What I am sharing with you today is the first post in a longer series, because I want you to stop being afraid. I am grateful that I have the platform created by this blog and that you are reading it, because I believe that this is one of the greatest gifts I can share with you, right from my heart. Thank you for being here. Thank you. Thank you.

Like all of us, I have lived in fear all my life until I understood what fear really is. I want you to understand it too, and to become fully free of it.

Oh, this is something I believe in so strongly in and I have so much to tell you! This will be a long series. Come with me on this journey, let me share with you what I have learned. What I now know about this feared subject transformed the way I live my life, changed the very core of my being and healed me.

This is my gift to you: a series of posts on how to transcend fear, a course on how to become fearless and take your life to the next level.

I am so excited! Come with me. I love you. Thank you.

I have done so much work within myself around fear that now I have a clear method in place that I use if fear starts to build inside me again. I made a commitment to myself to live FEARLESSLY and I do. This does not mean that I jump off cliffs, put myself in dangerous situations and do crazy things in order to prove to myself or others that I can overcome fear. What it means is that I do not have that knot inside my stomach everyday, from fears known and unknown; most people do. It also means that I have built  a series of skills that allow me to recognize in myself when fear starts to peak its head, so that I can free myself up immediately. My decisions are not based on fear anymore and let me assure you: I have made many decisions throughout my life which were based on fear, because that is all I knew. People are consumed with fear and are devoured by it every single minute.

“See you” again tomorrow. Come prepared to dismantle many things you thought were true. Come prepared to start understanding how magnificent you truly are, how powerful and how fearless you are at the core of your being.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 32: The Sacred Form™

I want to share with you my understanding of the human experience, which I call the Sacred Form™; I am grateful for this concept because it allowed me to become free of old misconceptions and many limiting beliefs. I am also grateful because this understanding came to me in a fraction of a second and completely changed my life. If you are wondering about the trademark sign: my lawyer said I must use the trademark TM every time I use this term because the trademark belongs to me. I feel very strongly about this concept. WE are SACRED and our experience on Earth is sacred.

Today, as our world is shaken by major events, we may be feeling afraid, confused or powerless. And that is exactly why we must make a pact with ourselves to start trusting our inner guidance, regain the true sense of self and allow our clarity, wisdom, and strength to return. We must remember that we are Sacred Forms™.

THE SACRED FORM™ is the fully integrated human being, as a Universal Being having a physical manifestation in the body and the roots in the Universal Power/Spirit/God/Universal Consciousness.

THE FIVE LEVELS OF THE SACRED FORM™ ARE:

  • Physical:      body
  • Emotional:   chemical/binary reactions
  • Energetic:    aura/magnetic field
  • Mental:         thought/mind
  • Spiritual:       soul/direct link to the  Universal Power

Most people live only in two or three of their aspects/levels, leading lives that are un-fulfilling and ridden with internal and external struggles. For example, some people are not yet aware of their spiritual aspect or of their energetic aspect or both. Some people ignore their emotions and rely solely on their minds and physical bodies.

If we acknowledge and integrate all the aspects of who we are, we become Sacred Forms™ with all five levels or layers in balance within themselves, fully and freely interconnected and functioning like the facets of a very clear crystal.

BALANCE is achieved when we start LIVING IN THE SACRED FORM™. When all the five layers are in balance with each other and fully interconnected, we are in a state of health, ease, well-being and high vibration. Being in balance will allow us to co-create our lives and environments from the understanding that we are all interconnected. THIS IS the return to the Universal Flow for each one of us as individuals and through us for humanity.

The human body as part of the Sacred Form™ is both teacher and student and, if respected and acknowledged, will naturally lean towards balance. At peace in a joyful and free body, our minds and hearts can create a better environment for ourselves and for humanity.

I know that this might be a lot to take in, but allow it to penetrate your awareness and let me know what you think.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 31: The Gift

Today I was thinking about a wonderful gift that we are able to offer each other: the gift of facilitation. I am grateful for being a catalyst for others and I am grateful to all the people who were my catalysts. There is something very powerful in acting as a facilitator, a spark, a channel, a vehicle for someone else’s change or transformation.

I have so many examples to give you but I will limit myself to only two today: one of someone acting as a catalyst for me and one of me being a catalyst for somebody else.

My friend Melissa Bierstock inspired this blog by sending me the challenge to commit to eight days of gratitude; she did not know that I would commit to 365 of daily posts, but I did. She was the spark. I could have ignored the inner prompting to start this journey, but I did not. She presented me with an opportunity to expand and take on something that is transformative for me. Melissa was my catalyst, my spark and I grateful to her for presenting me with this wonderful opportunity to be more me than ever before, to come out of hiding and to share with you every day.

The second example is of a different nature. I am still deeply moved by this event, even though it took place many years ago. I am grateful because I listened to my inner guidance and called my friend that day; he battled serious depression at the time. We were not really close, but we developed a friendship that allowed us to write to each other and share thoughts and ideas.We were exchanging emails every now and then to stay in touch and catch up. One day I woke up and my first thought was about my friend. I had this uneasy feeling, a certain urgency to see how he was doing. It was really early in the morning and I had a couple of clients to work with, but the feeling stayed with me and became more and more intense. So I called him; he picked up.

I am getting chills as I am writing this: he told me that he had been in darkness, literally and metaphorically, for a few days and that his depression was getting the best of him. We talked for a while, I stayed open and listened to him. He felt a little better so we hung up. Later that day he emailed to thank me and tell me that he was contemplating suicide when I called; after we talked, he called his psychiatrist  to get help.

My eyes are filling up with tears right now, because I listened to my inner feeling and called him that day. My friend has been doing well for many years; I am not responsible for him getting the help he needed, but I was present enough to ease his path to feeling better.

Paying attention and listening to our inner guidance allows us to gift others with life-changing moments.

If you ever have a gut feeling to call someone, or to do something for someone else or for yourself, just DO IT! Do not wait, do not analyze, just listen to how you feel. It might change a life!
