DAY 316: Holistic Education – Neha Patel

I am inviting yshutterstock_152541638ou to read this post and ponder on the concepts of a different education for the children of humanity. Chapter 10 in the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge entitled “Holistic Education ” is written by Neha Patel.

Neha Patel believes that to sow the seeds of positive emotional health in childhood is to reap a harvest of healthy well-balanced adults. With this vision in mind, she created the Little Buddha program for children, which focuses on the psychological, spiritual and emotional enhancement of the child. At a global level she has co-founded the Reform Education for a New World (RENEW) program in order to provide a complete and holistic education system for the children. She is a trainer, counselor and psychologist and the Founder of Sharnam Therapy and Healing Centre for psychological, emotional, spiritual and occupational wellness. She is a trained Arts Based Therapy (ABT) Practitioner. She is a certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, and has trained in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Play Therapy, Transactional Analysis (TA), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Skills for Adolescents (SFA) and many other techniques and modalities.

Neha Patel created the Little Buddha Program for children. She says:

“How would it be if children are given a chance to live a holistic and balanced life, facing the dramas and traumas of the world and yet completely at peace within?

We invite your children for the ‘Little Buddha’ Program to maximize their potential, be empowered, and to live their lives with awareness, harmony, balance and integrity. Our program aims at the emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being of the child.

Children will experimentally learn, with a lot of fun, to:

  • Understand, express and manage emotions effectively,
  • Break out of limiting ideas, beliefs, thoughts and feelings
  • Make conscious choices
  • Enhance their self – confidence and self-worth and appreciate their uniqueness
  • Weave gratitude, trust, humility, compassion, honesty and respect into the fabric of their life
  • Build their frustration tolerance and become resilient
  • Develop social skills, responsibility and co-operation and a lot more …with the help of many well researched, innovative and creative techniques

This program:

  • Teaches children mindfulness techniques, which help them become aware and conscious of themselves and their surroundings and increases their focusing skills
  • Encourages children to be non-judgmental of others
  • Helps them see others perspectives and points of view
  • Encourages assertiveness, empathizing with others and team work
  • Teaches them to be self-reliant, responsible and taking initiative for self-growth
  • Aims to improve their concentration skills, along with improving memory

So while having a lot of fun, in an easy-going, playful, creative way the children learn innovative concepts and skills for personal growth and to become responsible members of society. They are allowed to express themselves and they feel totally accepted just the way they are.

Through different techniques, activities and sessions coupled with their inner understanding and intelligence the child incorporates all they experience in the program in their way of being.

It is important to note that this is a purely non-religious program. The idea is to inculcate balance while simultaneously living your life in the present day world.”

Would you like your child to learn all that?

How about if all the children of the world were educated in programs like the Little Buddha Program?

DAY 294: Dismantling Fear

no limits

Most people are consumed with fear and are devoured by it every single minute. I have lived in fear all my life until I understood what fear really is.

I want you to understand it too, and to become free of it.

Come with me on this journey, let me share with you what I have learned.

What I now know about this feared subject transformed the way I live my life, changed the very core of my being and healed me.

This is my gift to you: a series of posts on how to transcend fear, a course on how to become fearless and take your life to the next level.

Come with me. I am so excited! I love you. Thank you.

I made a commitment to myself to live FEARLESSLY and I do. This does not mean that I jump off cliffs, put myself in dangerous situations and do crazy things in order to prove to myself or others that I can overcome fear. What it means is that I do not have that knot inside my stomach everyday, from fears known and unknown; most people do. It also means that I have built  a series of skills that allow me to recognize in myself when fear starts to peak its head, so that I can free myself up immediately.

My decisions are not based on fear anymore and let me assure you: I have made many decisions throughout my life which were based on fear, because that is all I knew.

“See you” again tomorrow. Come prepared to dismantle many things you thought were true. Come prepared to start understanding how magnificent you truly are, how powerful and how fearless you are at the core of your being.

Love,

Rucsandra

DAY 293: Freedom

freedomAre you intrigued by the dancing skeleton?

It looks quite free in its dance, doesn’t it?

What I have come to know is that freedom in your body will not come by exercising alone.

Building strength, increasing your flexibility and stamina are only one part of what your body needs in order to be free, move with ease, heal, stay healthy and feel alive and vibrant.

The freedom and health of your body depend on many things.

What you eat and drink, as well as how much good quality sleep you get contribute to how you feel in your body as well.

But this is still not enough for your overall freedom in the physical body.

The way you FEEL is crucial!

Your emotional health, the way you think of yourself, the way you treat yourself weigh a lot more in the balance of health than you might realize.

I met many very fit people, who took great care of what they eat and how much they exercise and yet, they were bound in their bodies by tightness, restriction, constriction and discomfort.

Your inner balance and peace are paramount for the freedom you experience in your body.

So start by looking inside and finding out what is it that you need to do in order to heal on the emotional level first.

By doing so, you will allow your body to heal and experience freedom and joy.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 98: The Quiet Inside My Mind

RUCSANDRA's PICTURE

Today I am grateful for feeling quiet inside my mind, inside my own being. I celebrate the calmness and ease that have become my internal state. It hasn’t always been like this. I lived the larger part of my life, like most people do, in worry, in fear, in emotional turmoil and anxiety. The transformation did not happen over night; it rather came in small increments over the past few years as the result of my continuous efforts to understand myself, to release the past and to allow faith to guide me.

I studied many different healing modalities and had many teachers. I read countless books on the connection between emotional health, subconscious programming and physical health. I attended seminars, workshops and learned about meditation. I continued to learn about the physical body and expanded my studies to the emotional body and the energetic body. I went on to understand the spiritual aspect of who I was. I welcomed new ideas and challenging thoughts.

You  might think that because of all that, I have reached this wonderful place of calmness. That isn’t true. Learning everything that I have learned expanded my horizons, but created no change; it increased my awareness of the countless possibilities and the very numerous paths that are available to all of us, but it did not bring about the sense of calmness and balance that I am now so grateful for.

What allowed the transformation to take place was not all the knowledge I accumulated or the intellectual understanding of specific concepts. The transformation did not happen because I worked with great teachers and facilitators.

It was my own inner work that made the shift a reality. The teachers and the books have showed me that there were doors to be opened, but I had to desire and have the courage to open them. I had to decide for myself  to actually take the first step after  opening one of these doors. And I had to find the inner resources to continue walking forward. I had to make the decision to not succumb to fear and keep walking; over and over I had to make this very decision.

Now, I want you to know that every once in a while I still have a day when my mind is cluttered and fear starts to get a hold of me, but I am not willing to spend any precious time in a cluttered and fearful place, so I use my knowledge to release fear and resistance, clear my mind and return to a state of inner balance.

Doing my own inner work was worth it. Still is.

Love,

Rucsandra

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 93: Tying Up Loose Ends

RUCSANDRA's PICTURE

Here’s a question: what do you usually do when you have off days? You know, those days when you feel slightly out of sorts, things don’t really flow and you’re not sure what to do. What do you tend to do on one of those days?

I am having an off day today and I’m loving it!

Did I get your attention? Yes, I am absolutely loving it! You know why? Because I do not think of this as an off day at all; I think of it as a little down time before the next adventure, the next idea, the next creative day. So instead of feeling bad, unproductive, sad, worried and stressed I relax into the feeling of it and do small task that are easy to complete, do not require a lot of energy and that I never really want to do on a busy, upbeat and exciting day.

Today I have been tying up loose ends: clearing some paper work, tidying up some client accounts, planning some payments for various things, clearing a desk drawer, making a few phone calls.

So today is a calm, stress free and very productive day that offers me the gift of getting organized and ready for what tomorrow will bring.

This is a better day to perceive an off day, don’t you think? Because it is not off at all, it is an absolutely perfect day!

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 69: The Willingness to Contemplate

RUCSANDRA's PICTURE

The willingness to contemplate is extremely powerful. I love these words: the willingness to contemplate. Dr. Wayne Dyer says:

“The law of flotation was not discovered by contemplating the sinking of things. […] The Wright brothers didn’t contemplate the staying on the ground of things. Alexander Graham Bell didn’t contemplate the non-communication of things. Thomas Edison didn’t contemplate the darkness of things. In order to float an idea into your reality, you must be willing to do a somersault into the inconceivable and land on your feet, contemplating what you want instead of what you don’t have.”

I AM INVITING YOU TO HAVE THE WILLINGNESS TO CONTEMPLATE the possibility that in every event, circumstance and interaction with other people there is something to be grateful for. I am not trying to convince you. I am simply inviting you to be willing to contemplate something different and to be willing to look at things in a different light.

Even if it seems quite impossible to you to release something painful or forgive someone who has hurt you and made you suffer, if you open yourself up to the possibility that there might be more to it than what meets the eye, you will soon start to see that there was a touch of grace in that situation and a reason for you to feel grateful.

You do not need to struggle with this; just be willing to see it from a different angle and your openness and willingness alone will create the space for deeper awareness.

I believe that one can only teach from one own’s individual experience, so tomorrow I will tell you about a time in my life when I realized that even in the hardest of times, we have the choice to find that spark of gratitude or be consumed by anger. pain or grief.

365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 68: Emotional Cleansing Part 14 – Be the Hero of Your Life

RUCSANDRA's PICTURE

You can change what you think and what you feel to resonate with the powerful and high vibration of GRATITUDE.

Buddha said:

“Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die; so, let us all be thankful.”

Every day and in every circumstance there is something to be grateful for. This way of thinking might initially create a lot of resistance. Some people refuse to find a reason to be thankful and so they choose to be victims. They believe that things happen to them, are being done to them. “How can I be grateful for the fact that I have this illness, or lost a loved one, or lost my job, or had parents who abused me, or that my alcoholic husband spent all my money?”

Even if you feel some resistance to the thought of feeling grateful for everything in your life, start with a small grateful step and keep going. Even in the darkest of times there is always something that you can be grateful for. I know this for a fact and from personal experience.

Gratitude has the power to cleanse your emotional lens. Think of gratitude as the master cleanser for your emotional life. When you are grateful for something that occurred in your life despite the fact that other people might think of it as a failure, tragedy or hardship, you are raising your vibration to the level of the Source Energy.

Nora Ephron says:

“Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim.”

The truth is that life will only look, feel and be the way you are willing to see it.

Life never treated you unfairly. Life offers you extraordinary opportunities to grow, in every single moment, with every single challenge. Gratitude pulverizes victimhood; it frees you up. The instant lift and rush of energy created by changing your thinking from victimhood to gratitude opens the door to your soul. You become the powerful creator of your own life, of your own reality. You become the hero of your life.
