DAY 330: Allowing The Magic To Unfold – Access Consciousness

shutterstock_102185230“Do you remember the exuberance you had as a child, when no pain or suffering lasted for more than 10 seconds and you were happily skipping about seeing rainbows and joy oozed out of your being? Remember that questioning spirit you had? And no question was too silly, you could ask ten question in a row of how, when, why, what about everything you came across? […]

Access Bars is a therapy that makes ‘receiving’ from the Universe easier, each Bars session helps to release limiting beliefs that do not allow us to receive freely. The Bars is a hands-on process that requires gentle touching of 32 points on the head. The worst that can happen after a Bars session is that you feel as if you had a good head massage; and the best, your whole life could change.

Have you ever noticed how we are conditioned to look at and prepare for everything that can go wrong? Do we ever spend time looking at what could go right? Or if we share our plans with others they tell us to stop day dreaming and come back to the reality of how things are supposed to be difficult by default.

How often do we come to conclusions about things we can’t change and give up on things we would like to be or have?

What if instead of giving up we could just ask this one question (even if we don’t have the answers right away): ‘What else is possible that I haven’t even considered?’

This opens up possibilities that we haven’t even conceived of! It’s like opening doors, windows and balconies in a corridor that earlier had solid walls with just one door at either end, so now we can see and explore options from a fresh perspective rather than looking at things the way everyone else does, from the limited perspective.”

Chapter 25 in  the book Holistic Wellness In The NewAge is written by Seema Sharma, a certified Access Consciousness Bars Facilitator and a marketing and corporate communications professional. She practices healing modalities including Reiki, Quantum Touch, Pranic Healing, Theta Healing, Aura Reading, Past Life Regression, EFT and Ho’oponopono.

DAY 288: Looking For The Holy Grail?

The Holy Grail was believed to have special powers, and according to the legend was designed to provide happiness, eternal youth as well as an unlimited supply of food.

The Holy Grail was, according to the legend, the cup used by Jesus Christ and tirelessly sought after by the knights of the Middle Ages.

Today the words are synonym with something truly priceless that is also very hard to find.

Many people are looking for their Holy Grail. Be it a financial breakthrough, a miraculous healing, a magic pill or the love of their life, they are on a continuous  search for something big. And in the process they follow many paths, consult many specialists and get discouraged when things don’t seem to work.

The problem, I believe, lies not in the desire for something big, but in the belief that somebody else has the Holy Grail.

You see, the answer to what you are looking for, searching for and truly wanting to find exists WITHIN you.

Somebody else’s path will not also be yours. This is the reason why magical cures do not work for everybody, even though they might have worked for a handful of people.

Your Holy Grail is inside YOU. You have it already. It has been yours all along. But you have been trying too hard to find it somewhere else; so hard in fact, that you did not think to look inside.

Stop running around trying to find what it already yours.

Look inside.

DAY 287: Be Kind To Yourself

love yourself

How are you treating yourself?

Are you understanding, compassionate, loving and nurturing with yourself?

If you are like most people, compassion and understanding are probably not part of how you are dealing with yourself in your mind and in your heart.

But I want to invite you to change the way you talk to yourself, think of yourself, look at yourself and understand yourself.

Louise Hay teaches people mirror work as a powerful paradigm shifting tool. She teaches people to look at themselves in the mirror every day, look deeply into their own eyes and tell themselves “I love you. I really, really love you.”

I asked some of my clients to do this exercise and they reported back, saying that it was truly hard and some couldn’t even do it.

Can you?

Can you take a deep look into your own eyes every day and say “I love you. I really, really love you.”?

Try it. See what you discover about yourself.

DAY 286: Stop The Insanity!

Here’s a sad but true fact: out of all the women I have met in my life, 90% or more actually hate their bodies or at least a part of their bodies.

I find this to be disturbing and very sad.

Our culture praises and admires healthy and athletic bodies, but for their aesthetic quality and sexual energy and less as mirrors of healthy, balanced and conscious human beings.

As a result, women do not like their looks; they cannot compete with the airbrushed and photo-shopped pictures they see in various ads and magazines.

Women compare their looks to this illusion and find themselves lacking; they ruthlessly criticize their legs, arms, chins and abdomens. As a result, they treat their own bodies with disrespect and contempt.

The physical body is a reflection of the internal workings of a person. The more you like yourself and your body, the better you will treat yourself and the better you will look!

So start inside with loving, compassionate thoughts for yourself. Treat your body well, feed it high quality foods and beverages, exercise to feel good and increase your well-being, take time to be by yourself and pay attention to how you feel. Respect yourself and your body will answer in kind.

DAY 285: All Parts Of You Matter

Your mind, your body, your emotions and your spirituality equally contribute to your physical health, emotional well-being, peace of mind and vibrant, fulfilling life.

If one of these parts of you is in long term disharmony and dissonance with the rest, your overall health will suffer.

Here’s a little excerpt from Candace Pert’s Ph.D. book “Everything You Need To Know To Feel Go(o)d”:

“But what I know with certainty and apply every day in my life is that the mind and the body are one. The basis for this unity is that all systems of our physiology are connected and coordinated by emotion-laden, information-carrying molecules, engaged in constant cross talk, for example, between the nervous and immune systems. This network of communication that takes place throughout the body and brain involves intelligence and emotion to create one entity, which I call the ‘bodymind’.”

Science is offering us the information we need in order to move from the “body being separate from the mind” paradigm.

They are not separate. They are one. The sooner we acknowledge this as being the truth, the sooner we can start the healthcare revolution; a healthcare revolution that is desperately needed in our society.

DAY 284: Chronic Pain And The Frontal Cortex

From my experience of working with thousands of people over more than 20 years, comes the understanding that pain levels can be increased or diminished according to how the pain sensation is interpreted in the brain.

I have worked with many people in chronic pain. Fear of pain and fear of a debilitated future spent in chronic pain are responsible  for more than 30 to 50% of the physical sensation of pain.

Once the fear diminishes, so does the pain.

I have taught my clients to release fear and to become emotionally stronger and clearer in order to release chronic pain.

And here’s how this works. Candace Pert Ph.D. says in her book “Everything You Need To Know To Feel Go(o)d”:

“… incoming sensation is filtered heavily by endorphins and other molecules of emotion at the peri-acqueductal grey (PAG), a structure in the brain where pain is first perceived. Moving into higher regions of the brain, discomfort is further filtered.; and if it’s strong enough, it arrives in the foremost area of the brain, the frontal cortex. There, a decision about the severity of the sensation is made, impacting the degree of suffering that a person experiences. In other words, pain is highly influenced by emotion and interpretation…”

Read it over and over again. It is revolutionary.

DAY 283: The Non-Real Reality

What we perceive to be the world around us is filtered through our past experiences and the memories we have of them.

The lens created by what we’ve lived so far causes us to less than clear images of our lives. The scars of our past, if left buried and unhealed create a thick covering on this lens. As a result, what we see is not what really is.

The late Candace Pert, Ph.D., who revolutionized the world of science with her discovery of the molecules of emotion, writes in her book entitled “Everything You Need To Know To Feel Go(o)d”:

“… your experience of so-called reality is filtered through your memories, giving your experience a spin, adding meaning, and even making part of each situation go or stay unconscious, as in the case of a core emotional trauma, if the event is too painful to remember.

We’re constantly resonating with what we already know to be true. Everything that you feel is filtered along a  gradient of past experiences and memory that’s stored in your receptors –  there isn’t any absolute or external reality! What you experience as reality is your story of what happened.”

I believe that making our emotional well-being  a priority and looking inside without fear is the key to healing the physical body.

The body, the mind and the emotions are so closely knit together that we cannot have a healthy body in the presence of deep emotional and mental turmoil.

Read Candace Pert’s book if you want the hard-core, irrefutable, scientific proof.

DAY 282: Let’s Burn The Old Beliefs

I think we got it all wrong! We believed what most religions preach: that we are born sinners, flawed from the beginning and that we need to work really hard to get the approval of God.

I’ve always rebelled against such thinking. Even as a child I constantly argued with my grandmother about her religious beliefs: “My Grandmother Called Me A Pagan“.

I believe that it is this deeply ingrained conditioning that creates misery and tragedy in our society, in our world.

We are not flawed, we are not born sinners. We are not weak and unworthy. We do not need to be accepted through the pearly gates. And most definitely we are not defined by interpretations of the religious texts.

We are magnificent human beings, part of a magnificent humanity on a magnificent planet.

The horrors and disasters that we are currently creating in our world come from the belief that we are small, petty, worthless and powerless. As a result of this general level of consciousness, we get to experience ecological disasters: we are destroying the only home we have; we see tragedy and pain: wars, and random shootings, suffering and loss.

We are in this together: you and me and everyone else. Every breathing being on this planet is a part of us. Every drop of water is a drop of us.

Every act of cruelty against another (human, animal, plant or the planet Earth) is an act of cruelty against each and every one of us.

Let’s burn the old belief that we are small.

Let’s burn the old belief that we are different from one another.

Let’s burn the old belief that change is hard and takes time.

Let’s change together.
