“The word ‘acupuncture’ is derived from Latin words ‘acus’ and ‘punctate, meaning ‘needle’ and ‘to penetrate’, respectively.

It is recorded to be a nearly 5000 years old system of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), in which hair-fine sterile needles are inserted at acupuncture points on the skin to rectify the flow of life-force energy (chi) and restore the yin-yang balance or the homeostasis. This phenomenon augments the body’s own inherent natural healing energy that cures most of the acute, chronic and even conventionally incurable diseases.

In well-trained and experienced hands acupuncture is a complete system of health by itself. Its efficacy improves tremendously when a qualified physician dedicated to acupuncture practices it. It is best used in the cure of commonly incurable diseases like migraine, insomnia, mental disorders, sinusitis, asthma, indigestion, arthritis and spondylitis, etc.

After extensive scientific evaluation over 25 years, the World Health Organization (WHO) has given recognition to acupuncture. FDA and the National Institute of Health (NIH) in USA having endorsed its scientific basis the various states in USA, offer licenses to its practitioners. In the UK the National Health Services (NHS) recognizes and pays for acupuncture treatments.”
