I saw this quote on Facebook a couple of months ago:
“A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking because its trust is not in the branch, but in its own wings.”
Its origin is unknown, but this little quote contains a great truth: the branch can break or not, but the bird is not afraid; it knows that it can fly anytime and it does not question its own flying abilities.
Can you, for a moment, imagine yourself being the bird?
What is your branch right now?
What are you hanging on to, hoping that it will not break?
What or who are you giving your power away to?
Ponder it for a while.
Sit with this image.
Your branch can be your spouse, your parent, your child, your job, your friend, your lover, your career.
Are you trusting your branch to keep you safe, happy, healthy, fed, wealthy?
Are you giving your power away to a person or a career?
What if you took your power back?
What if you understood that you and you alone have the power to create your life?
What if you stopped being afraid?
How would your life be if you did all that?
I know: I am asking you to answer many questions, and maybe the’re not easy questions to answer.
But answers only come when you ask the questions.
Without a question there is no answer.
So please, ask yourself: “What if I start trusting myself more?”.
What if you start believing that you can do whatever you desire?
What if you start believing in YOURSELF?
