365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 45: Beyond Fear Part 12 – The List

RUCSANDRA's PICTURE

After I published my post yesterday, I started thinking that it might be difficult for you to bring out all the fears hidden in your being. Sometimes, we do not want to look at something and we are so determined to ignore it, that it appears it is not even there.

What I want you to know is that until you become aware of your fears and make the effort to move beyond them, they will continue to chip away at your joy, confidence and capacity to connect with others, as well as your ability to take the great opportunities life brings to you. Your fears do not allow you to live fully as yourself.

I know that this might be a difficult thing for you to do. I understand that there will be resistance to this process and I want to support you and help you with it, because it is important. So, I will get you started and offer you an idea about what fears might make it to your list, in no specific order:

  • I am afraid to speak my mind
  • I am afraid to be who I am, so I modify my behavior to please others
  • I fear loneliness
  • I don’t deserve to have money
  • I’m afraid I’ll be alone for the rest of my life
  • I fear death
  • I fear the death of my mother, father, spouse
  • I am afraid I’ll get sick

  • I fear judgment
  • Who am I to have it all?
  • I fear emotional pain
  • I am afraid my children will not succeed
  • I am afraid my mother/father/spouse/children will not approve
  • I am afraid my art/work/writing is not good enough
  • I don’t deserve to be love
  • I am afraid I will never find someone to love me
  • I am afraid I’ll lose my job/position if I am myself
  • I am afraid I will not manage my money well
  • I am afraid there will be a major cataclysm
  • I am afraid of illness
  • I am afraid of cancer
  • I am afraid of germs
  • I am afraid of the consequences of telling the truth
  • I am afraid to know the truth
  • I am afraid of suffering
  • I am afraid something bad will happen
  • I am afraid God will punish me
  • I am afraid I will get punished for speaking my truth
  • I am afraid to be vulnerable
  • I am afraid to be seen by others as who I am
  • I am afraid I will not raise up to the occasion
  • I am afraid of failure
  • I am afraid of success
  • I am afraid of making a mistake
  • I am afraid of making a decision
  • I am afraid to make money
  • I am afraid to spend money
  • I am afraid to take a chance
  • I am afraid to trust other people
  • I am afraid to take time off
  • I am afraid to ask for what I want
  • I am afraid someone will find the truth about that thing I did 20 years ago
  • I am afraid I won’t measure up
  • I am afraid to try new things
  • I am afraid to get hurt
  • I am afraid my spouse/children will get hurt
  • I am afraid of life in general

Ok, do you get the idea? Take from this list what is true for you and keep going. Keep going and do not stop until all your fears, great and small, are written down on paper.

Tomorrow I’ll share with you how I dealt with my list of fears.

I love you,

Rucsandra
