365 DAYS OF GRATITUDE – DAY 44: Beyond Fear Part 11- Your Fears on Paper

RUCSANDRA's PICTURE

Hello! Are you ready to be fearless? If you are, then let’s get started. If you are not, then continue reading anyway, because you will get inspired and build the emotional stamina necessary to start contemplating living your life without fear.

I want to share with you what I did many years ago, when I decided to not allow my life to be shaped by fear. One Sunday, when I had the day to myself, I took a few sheets of paper and started listing all the things I was afraid of. The more I wrote, the more fears were there to unearth, so I kept writing. I wrote down small fears and large fears, fears that initially I was afraid to put down on paper because they felt to big for me to even look at them. But in the end I got them all down on paper and I felt a great sense of release. Even though I did not know what to do with what I had just brought to the surface, I felt lighter; a great calmness set over me and I remember the extraordinary restful night that followed.

With all my fears out in the open so to speak, written down on a physical sheet of paper, I allowed myself a few good days to go about my work and my day-to-day life, before starting to face them one by one. I took a few days off from my emotional work to rest and build up the strength to start dismantling my fears.

Today, I am grateful for that whole process. Sometimes it took me a couple of hours to release one fear; other times, it took me days or even weeks to look at my limiting beliefs, to understand where they came from and how they were creating a certain fear. This was not an overnight process, but it transformed me and freed me up. I am sharing all this with you, because I want the same for you. I want you to live with complete trust in life and in yourself.

Make your list, write down all your fears. Don’t shy away from any of them; put them down on paper. Bring them up from deep inside yourself, and allow the sheet of paper to hold them. I will show you what to do next, but first, take the time to do this. Even if it’s scary, do it. Even if you feel like running away, do it. Even if you feel like you never want to read this blog again, do it. This is just your fears talking and trying to stop you from living life fully as YOURSELF.

Wonderful, powerful, magnificent YOU: feel the fear and do it ANYWAY!

Let me know how you’re doing with this task. Write me a comment or send me a message.

I love you,

Rucsandra
