Before I wrote my first post three days ago, I shared with you that I had this idea to start a year long journey of gratitude. Well, this is not quite the whole truth. The idea was born out of a moment of alignment with something greater than me. As I was thinking about the Facebook challenge, I was in resonance with the energy of gratitude and in an inner state of coherence. I felt grateful for so many things; I felt so light and full of joy that all I could think was that every single person needs to know this secret: gratitude heals our wounds and sets us free. The words started to pour into my mind, so I sat down at my desk and posted my intention to start the 365 Days of Gratitude and write about it, so that others can learn about the power of gratitude and use it in their own lives. So, you see, the idea reached me. And then I took action; I sealed the deal so to speak. I made a commitment to myself and to you, because I had just felt what I now know: there was a greater purpose for me to start this journey. How do I know? Because the Universe/Source/God (or whatever name you use for this great energy that we are all part of) gave me a sign.
OK, I can imagine some people rolling their eyes after reading my last sentence. If you are one of them let me explain, and then you can make whatever you want of it. I will relate to you two events that happened since I started my posts.
On Day 2, after trying to write about a different topic and encountering laptop slowdown and words slowdown, I went to take a shower and then wrote about Water. My words were then typed with flow and ease. I published the post and a couple of hours later, a client sent me this email: “Rucsandra, I smiled when I saw your gratitude piece on water – during my class at Mitrea Wellness today water kept coming up and the teacher joked that it was a “water class” – we and your studio are in harmony!”. The class happened before I published my post. I smiled too, and felt grateful for paying attention to Water.
On Day 3, which was yesterday, I wrote about Ioana’s healing journey following her stroke, but did not write about the fact the she was killed in a motorcycle accident 4 years ago. I would not have shared this with you today either, because I know that I will write about her death later and tell you about one of the greatest gifts I have ever received. But now I had to tell you, because of what happened yesterday.
Yesterday I wrote the first draft for my post about Ioana and then went to have breakfast with my friends from Vancouver who were returning home in the evening. I decided the night before to take them to Marchè on Bay Street, because it’s close to the subway, it has great architecture and many food choices. At the restaurant, I realized that my last time there was about 6 years ago, with Ioana and my friend Fraser, whom I have not seen in a couple of years. I felt a little giggle coming up and sent a smile to Ioana to thank her for inspiring me that day.
And now, get ready!
As I was relating these very facts to my friends, Fraser walks into the restaurant!! He had a breakfast meeting right there, while I was there, on the day I wrote about Ioana.
What do you think now? Was that a sign? It was for me. I will write this blog every day for a full year, because it feels right, true and powerful and because of the synchronicity. The Divine/Source/God/Universe gave me signs two days in a row so I know that I am doing something that will inspire others, that will help someone find the gift in a great challenge, feel gratitude for the challenge itself and become free.
“According to Vedanta, there are only two symptoms of enlightenment, just two indications that a transformation is taking place within you toward a higher consciousness. The first symptom is that you stop worrying. Things don’t bother you anymore. You become light-hearted and full of joy. The second symptom is that you encounter more and more meaningful coincidences in your life, more and more synchronicities. And this accelerates to the point where you actually experience the miraculous.” – Dr. Deepak Chopra
Today I am grateful for the synchronicities and I am ready for the miraculous!
